Notes

Senior Day for Greg Gurley, Scott Novosel, and Greg Ostertag. KU wins the Big 8 Championship by one game over OSU. This was only the second title-deciding regular season finale the conference has had in 50 years. KU goes unbeaten at home this season, the 10th time in the history of Allen Fieldhouse. Billy Thomas set career highs in points, 3FGs and 3FGAs. He broke the KU freshman record for threes in a season. The old record was 36 by Kevin Pritchard in 1986-87. Rutherford's 11 three-pointers broke a Big 8 record. His 45 points were the third most ever scored by a KU opponent (Lindsey Hunter of Jackson State with 48, Mike Wroblewski of KSU with 46). Reeves fails to score for the first time in his OSU career.
