It's the official start of the tournament. KU is playing today. We're the #1 seed in our region. We're the #1 seed overall. We're the #1 team in KenPom. We're the #1 team in RPI. We're the #1 team in DPPI. We're the consensus American favorite to win the tourney.

It's time to weigh in, to be accounted for, and to make your voice be heard.

As Bill Parcells once said in the Super Bowl to circle the wagons: "This is what you work all off-season for. This is why you lift all them weights. This is why you do all that $%#&."

Stand up and be counted. Let your fellow RCBers know you are present and accounted for--not just today, but for the duration of this tourney run. I challenge every member (and lurker) to post on this thread.

Post your positive thoughts, your rallying cry, your wishes for the team--whatever you want to post. Just let everyone on here know you're in this, that you have skin in the game. That you're pumped up and ready to support our JAYHAWKS!

Rock Chalk!!!

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.

Home. Working a bit. Getting ready. Anxious. Confident. Excited. Wondering what time we'll play on Saturday. Did I say I was excited?

Unfortunately, the only way I can watch the game is in a notorious cougar bar. And I don't mean a bar for UH fans. I'll miss the 2nd half, but I'll be wearing the colors (quite a bit of them) proudly.

Just a few more papers to grade and then I'm out.

Excited for the game and, as Senex said, want to know the start time for Saturday.

Konza...thanks for rallying the troops!

ATXjayhawk is here from Austin, TX. I'm watching from work today and am anticipating a bull whooping today.

I really think this team has what it takes to win it all this year and I don't always say that every year. The difference this year unlike 2013, 2012, and 2011 is we have STELLAR guard play. Our offense has usually revolved around our big men in years past. It's gotten us far, but we've fallen short IMO because we didn't have great guard play. Guys who could dribble drive and shoot jump shots. We've seen how important guard play is for a deep run and we have three of the best in basketball.

We have 2 point guards in our starting lineup who can dribble drive. Graham has become our hottest shooter from three. We have Selden who can take over a game with his athleticism and shoot the three. We have Svi who can take over for one of the 3 starting guards and shoot the three. We have Brannen who can be a sharpshooter from the bench and be counted on to hit free thrrows. We have rim protectors in Lucas, Traylor, and Diallo. And last but not least we have Perry; one of the most experienced stretch 4s in college basketball. He can do it all. Dribble drive, catch and shoot, shoot from the baseline, fire up the blender, and shoot the three.

We are the deepest and most experienced team in college basketball. It's our moment to prove all the naysayers wrong and get to the final 4. Anything beyong that will be the cherry on top of whats already been an amazing season for these Jayhawks.

NO UPSETS, NO NERVOUSNESS...JUST SMART, ATHLETIC, LOOSE, EFFICIENT, AND OVERPOWERING BASKETBALL FROM HERE ON OUT!!! :cheer:  :silly:

Crimson and blue looks so much better than burnt orange!!!
