Great photo HE!!! The way the pic is cropped, I can't see exactly what it is on which the good Dr. Allen is standing; a peach basket I'm guessing, ;)

All that is left is the NCAA Tournament, so we will be holding on "at least 1" for each update until KU is no longer playing.

As of today there is at least 1 game left in Perry's KU career.
A possible 6 games remain (yes, please, and thank you!)

In KU's B12T title win against WVU, Perry recorded:
17 points
5 rebounds

He needs
29 more points to pass Kirk Hinrich for 10th place (see below).
If he plays to his 16.7 PPG season average, he will need at least 2 more games to pass Kirk.
FWIW, he has scored 20, 22, 21, 20 and 17 his last five games (20 PPG), and it would be so great to see him keep that up for 6 more games!!!
(BTW, if KU gets to the NC game, at 16.7 PPG he could end up as high as #6!)
(He would need to average over 27.3 PPG through the NC game to pass Sherron Collins for the #5 spot.)

He is still 13th in rebounding, 1 behind Dave Robisch.
If he plays to his 5.9 RPG season average, he will need 1 game to pass Dave.
He will need 5 games (26 rebounds) to pass Cumulus Clyde (RIP, ), but
Scot in 10th place (36 away) is still doable if he can up his rebounding production the rest of the way to an average of 6.17 RPG. Not looking good for him making that one, though, as he never has been a big rebounding machine. I wonder if he can average a double double the rest of the way? :woohoo:

Based on the 2015-16 MBB Media Guide and KUAD Cumulative Statistics for 2015-16, these are the folks standing in Perry's path to the KUMBB Top 10 in Career Points and Career Rebounds.

NB: I added SCORING RANK to this table so you could see who were the best at doing both. As CorpusJayhawk pointed out earlier, only Danny, Nick and Raef are Top 10 in both lists. If you looked at who are in the Top 15 in both categories, you would then include Clyde, Perry and Dave Robisch. And again, the ONLY reason Wilt is not Top 10 in both is that he only played two years, a total of 48 games. With his KU leading career averages of 29.9 PPG and 18.3 RPG, he would have easily been Top 10 in both (a projected 2nd in scoring and 1st in rebounding) if he stayed for his senior year.

Best of luck to you and your teammates, Perry!

As of today there is at least 1 game left in Perry's KU career.
A possible 5 games remain (yes, please, and thank you!)

In KU's NCAAT win against Austin Peay, Perry recorded:
21 points
2 rebounds

He needs 8 more points to pass Kirk Hinrich for 10th place (see below).
If he plays to his 16.8 PPG season average, he will pass Kirk in 1 more game.
FWIW, he has scored 20, 22, 21, 20, 17 and 21 his last six games (20.2 PPG), and it would be so great to see him keep that up the rest of the way!!!
(BTW, if KU gets to the NC game, at 16.8 PPG he could end up as high as #6!)
(He would need to average over 28.6 PPG through the NC game to pass Sherron Collins for the #5 spot.)

He passed Dave Robisch.for 12th place on the all-time rebounding list.
If he plays to his 5.8 RPG season average, he will need 5 games (24 rebounds) to pass Cumulus Clyde (RIP, ), but
Scot in 10th place (34 away) is still doable if he can up his rebounding production the rest of the way to an average of 7.0 RPG. Not looking good for him making that one, though, as he never has been a big rebounding machine.

Very cool. He passed Hinrich in scoring, Robisch in rebounding. And he isn't done yet!

Thanks, HE!

He passed Robisch in rebounding, but is still 8 points shy of passing Hinrich. Should happen Saturday, but I'm taking nothing for granted. ;)

As of today -- after the UConn win -- there is at least 1 game left in Perry's KU career.
A possible 4 games remain (yes, please, and thank you!)

In KU's NCAAT win against UConn, Perry recorded:
21 points
8 rebounds

He passed both Kirk Hinrich and Dave Robisch for 9th place all-time in KU scoring.

Perry has scored 20, 22, 21, 20, 17, 21 and 21 his last seven games (20.3 PPG), and it would be so great to see him keep that up the rest of the way!!!

He needs 2 more points to pass Paul Pierce for 8th place (see below).
If he plays to his 16.9 PPG season average, he will pass Paul in 1 more game.
He could pass Keith Langford for 7th place in 3 more games.
He could pass Darnell Valentine for 6th place in 4 more games.
He would need to average over 30.5 PPG through the NC game to pass Sherron Collins for the #5 spot.

In rebounds, if he plays to his 5.9 RPG season average, he will need 3 more games (16 rebounds) to pass Cumulus Clyde (RIP, ), but
passing Scot in 10th place (26 away to tie) is still doable if he can up his rebounding production the rest of the way to at least 6.75 RPG for 4 more games.

As of today -- after the Sweet 16 win against Maryland -- there is at least 1 game left in Perry's KU career.
A possible 3 games remain (yes, please, and thank you!)

In KU's NCAAT win against Maryland, Perry recorded:
27 points (a season high!)
5 rebounds

He passed Paul Pierce for 8th place all-time in KU scoring.

Perry has scored 20, 22, 21, 20, 17, 21, 21 and 27 his last eight games (21.1 PPG), and it would be so great to see him keep that up the rest of the way!!!

He needs 19 more points to pass Keith Langford for 7th place (see below).
If he plays to his 17.2 PPG season average, he will pass Keith in 2 more games.
At his recent PPG, he could pass Keith in just 1 game.
He could pass Darnell Valentine for 6th place with 28 more points -- 2 more games, barring a new season high against 'Nova. :woohoo: (Please, Jay, try to defend him with one man like Mark did! Please!)
He would need to average over 31.7 PPG through the NC game to pass Sherron Collins for the #5 spot.

In rebounds, if he plays to his 5.8 RPG season average, he will need 2 more games (11 rebounds) to pass Cumulus Clyde (RIP, ), but
passing Scot in 10th place (21 away to tie) is still doable if he can up his rebounding production the rest of the way to at least 7.4 RPG for 3 more games.

Based on the 2015-16 MBB Media Guide and KUAD Cumulative Statistics for 2015-16, here is where Perry stands in the pantheon of KUMBB Career Scorers and Rebounders.

In KU's NCAAT loss to Villanova, Perry recorded:
4 points (I think a season low?)
5 rebounds

He finishes his KU career 8th in scoring and 12th in rebounding.

Thank you, Perry, and best of luck as you leave Ol' KU!
