Through the years, the Democratic party has had the reputation of being disorganized and dis-unified. Whether that is deserved or not, things have drastically changed since the mid terms. Today it looks to be a party focused on the most important issues, as evidenced by hearings on the following: Climate change; developing a tracking system of the separation from their parents of thousands of immigrant children; and gun safety issues, to name but a few. For whatever reason, Republicans have chosen not to address these issues despite the crises which are arising from years of ignoring them.
As a convert to the Democratic party, I am proud of my political choice, and I commend the voters who elected representatives to consider country before party or personal gain.
