He talks a good game, but I have little to zero trust for any Republican with a Brownback connection, given the horrible state--pardon the pun--in which they have put Kansas. And, there is the question as to how effective he'll be at working for diplomacy, which hasn't been exactly Tweety's best suit. Hmm, let's see, how can one balance diplomacy with crudeness, insults, hateful tweets, and stupidity?
Or better still, how long can Pompeo try before getting the boot?
One can hope he is truthful and sincere, a seeming rarity in this administration. As Rachel Maddow advises, "Don't listen to what they say; watch what they do."

This is just another case of Donnie Moscow appointing someone who is either unqualified to a position, as in the case of Pompeo, or someone antagonistic to the agency they are supposed to lead, as in the case of Scott Pruitt. Our government has never been exposed to this level of incompetence, in my opinion, and that incompetence starts with the current occupant of the White House.

Before I could substitute teach, even though I have my degree, I was so thoroughly vetted that I felt almost qualified to be a member of the CIA. It's a shame that Tweetypoo's appointees aren't given the same level of scrutiny.
