according to my friends stationed there, rallied to take care of the soldiers regardless of what happened regarding the shutdown. Armed Forces Bank and USAA promised to put paycheck money into soldiers' accounts, and Housing promised soldiers they'd continue to have homes and with no late rental fees.
To the Seattle folks and any others who stood by our soldiers whose livelihood and homes may have been in peril, many, many thanks.
