‘One of the most secretive, dark states’: What is Kansas trying to hide?

Granted it's a Missouri newspaper, but that's some pretty eye opening stuff being written about there.

I really love living in Lawrence because of KU ad family ties, but the more I learn about this state, the more I think about moving to a different one.

Of course, if my *countryfolk* don't get their respective acts together and elect some responsible and ethical people to public office, I may just have to become an ex-pat. Vancouver sounds nice, but the I've always wanted to spend some time in the British Isles, so who knows?

All I know is I'm getting older, I'm tired of the slide in our national standards of living and relating to each other, and I'm seeing a Peter Finch "Network" point approaching in the near future...

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"

Right there with you, HE. What is happening in this country is horrifying. We have a Congress that is totally detached from it's constituents. We have a "leader" who is basically a Russian pawn who is running a criminal enterprise out of the White House. Our country is on a slow slide downward. It hurts to see it.
