by Trump: The selection of General Mattis for Secretary of Defense. Let's hope the rule that states he must wait longer before holding this post is waived.

Did you see that Petraus has to get permission from his PAROLE officer before he can accept a position in Trump's clown cabinet? My son said it best. "It's like the Joker is collecting the worst of the worst for a huge theft operation!".

Your son is very sharp!
I'll bet our allies are giggling about creepy Donald's being the POTUS while being scared silly at the same time. As to the Japanese, they are probably wondering if being Bushuru'd again would be better than dealing with this maniac.

This may be a good choice -- maybe the only qualified person Don the Con has nominated so far. However, I'm just a tad bit nervous about having a Secretary of Defense whose nickname is "Mad Dog." Dr. Strangelove, anyone?

I'm hearing Sarah Palin's name being tossed around as a possible appointee to run the VA. I guess her having a son-in-law who served in the Marine Corps (and a Medal of Honor winner) is seen by Drumpf as making her qualified? Or maybe she can see veterans from her front porch in Wasilla?

The only good thing I can think of about Palin's being a cabinet member is the fodder for SNL. I miss Tina Fey's characterizations of her.
As to the creep's considering her for a cabinet post, he probably thinks her outright stupidity makes her a certain sexual conquest. (He can see the flash of her smile from the top floor of his kingly tower.)

Murphy wrote: "Let's hope the rule that states he must wait longer before holding this post is waived." Do you think that doing away with this rule would be a good idea?

I think if the person is shown to be well-qualified, the rule should be waived, but not necessarily done away with completely.

Interesting that the guy who actually showed classified material to his girlfriend (and who knows who else) is OK to be an advisor but he and his ilk wanted to "lock her up" for basically doing nothing wrong?? Hypocrisy at its best, as always.
