Met Expectations

I'd like to rave about winning our first game, but we're now past the point of celebrating one victory - Thank God !

Yesterday was an exercise in taking care of business, and that's exactly what we did. No hype, no real excitement, just doing what needed to be done, and getting off the field. It's what good teams and programs do. We've achieved the next level of recovery and success. Now to build and recruit and generate redshirts along the O and D line so we just keep producing year after year, and now become an option for the 4 star talent. 5 stars will still be a blessing, but Liepold can produce with 4 stars.

Only one comment - lose the powder blue spring training jerseys. Crimson, blue, red and even black are strong colors. I thought I was watching Carolina, and couldn't tell who most players were without their names on the back.

AZ, I couldn’t agree more about losing the “sky blue” jerseys. I thought I had the wrong game when I was finally able to tune in. Ditto on the names. Enjoyed the relaxing game, once we got cooking. Miss playing in Memorial Stadium, tho.

The streets in Lawrence are all under construction it seems. Students and their cars are back! A game day in Lawrence, even on a Thursday, could have been a gridlocked mess!
