A few sparks, Bean, no major mistakes from Special Teams, some good plays by the defense, and a nice comeback.
Need to figure out how to get the running game going besides QB option.
Something to celebrate and hopefully the coaches and players know a lot more about each other and will be ready for Coastal Carolina.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
Most of the time KU players were in the correct place, on special teams particularly. Drilling by the coaches showed there,
The O line seemed physically overwhelmed much of the game. That may be hard to upgrade this season.
Seems like South Dakota is likely a middle of the pack MVC team. We did not need Bison or Norther Iowa at this stage.

So true. Potentially big assists for next year's squad -- the portal being a source for proven O line talent looking to move up to the next level AND the prospect of being able to recruit more than the annual 25 scholarship player limit for next year.
Until then, though -- oy vey...
