Many of the long-time users of this site should remember Charles Gruber. He's a realtor in Lawrence, a terrific KU fan, and really a beautiful soul. He helped support this site in the early days with ads for his countdown clock, which became the Grubertron 2000.

Charles has been fighting cancer lately and he and his family could use your prayers.

If you're willing (and able), there is also a mealtrain/fundraiser: www.mealtrain.com/trains/49gok7/donate/

Thank you... Dave

Likewise from our household. Sorry to read the news, wish all the best for Charles and his loved ones in his fight against cancer.

Rock Chalk, Brother Charles!

earlier today. I knew him for years through email, but never had the privilege of meeting him.

Here's a brief look at him: mankindproject.org/missions/charles-gruber

Sad news, indeed. A loss to the entire Jayhawk family and the people of Lawrence. Did not know him personally, but knew of him for decades as a great human being.

Rock Chalk, Charles and RIP. :(
