If I recall correctly, Carlton gets called for a moving screen at the elbow every game, sometimes multiple times.
He needs to learn how to properly set the screen or we don't need to run that play - automatic turnover - when he is in!
I really would like him to get more minutes but understand why he doesn't , when he seemingly doesn't learn.
Does anyone else notice this?

Was it last year or the year before when Jamari was good for 1 or 2 every game. I think the requested precision makes it difficult.

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

Socal, per Hairyhawk's post, you could sub in the name "Jamari" for "Carlton" and make the exact same point. Jamari has been good for typically one or two of these per game all year. Yesterday was his anomaly game.
The difference between the two is Jamari has had 3+ years to figure it out and try to make a course correction, while Carlton has had half a season. Yet one gets immediately yanked, the other stays in. (Self's MO)
Here's to hoping both improve in that area, and both step up their game asap. We need it.

Mongo just pawn in game of life.
I've never understood it, but I don't think our guys have been very good at setting screens or using them for a long time. I can't explain it, as I've always thought these were easy things. If you set one you establish position, cover up the sensitive areas, and don't move. To use a screen, you might fake one way, then go around the screener while staying as close to him as possible.
Maybe at the college level it's harder to screen an elite athlete, or maybe its that this type of athlete was never asked to screen in high school, or never needed to really use a screen to gain space. I don't know.
