I have ever seen a KU team fail so many times at closing out a winnable game. I fully agree with NotO's thoughts about Dickenson, and it got me to thinking. The marquee win of the season was against Duke (even though KU barely beat a bunch of freshmen in their first real test). And if I remember correctly, KU did it without Hunter for the last, what?, 10-12 minutes of the game, after he got tossed out for kicking a Duke player. They did it with tough defense and poise down the stretch. I wish him well in his future endeavors, but for all his points and rebounds, Hunter was an overall negative for this team. Don't mean to be harsh, but KU will be better without him next year. In baseball, Branch Rickey used to call it "addition by subtraction".

The best part of the team flaming out, is not having to see this version of KU basketball ever again. HCBS deserves heaps of criticism for this year, and for not having depth last year. Here is hoping KJ make a full recovery and the rest be successful in life.

Just read that KJ likely injured his achilles and will be recovering for a year. Not sure what his post-grad plans are, but now they include rehab. While he wasn't an NBA prospect, I'm sure he could play overseas if he heals up.

KJ has been one of my favorite players and he has more heart and drive than half a team. I'm confident that he'll be successful in whatever he does. I'd also be pleased to see him as a KU assistant at some point down the road. With his positive and highly motivated attitude, I think he'd be a great coach at some level.

KJ and DeJuan both are NCAA Champions. They both have already overcome so much adversity in their lives and proven they have the mettle to will succeed. Wish them well!
