"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." - Mark Twain "Innocents Abroad"
Tech is now 2-22 in AFH.
Last time Tech beat KU in AFH was 2018.
GAMES LEFT
@Houston
v Arizona
KU STREAKS STILL INTACT as of 2025-03-01
• 38-0 in AFH on Big Monday
• 41 straight Senior Game victories in AFH
• 21 straight seasons under Bill Self with at least 23 games won.
KU Streaks Broken 2024-25
• 33 straight conference opener winning streak (14 home, 19 away)
• 11-0 in AFH v WVU became 11-1 with that conference opening home game loss.
• KU had gone 21 seasons under Bill Self before losing 3 conference home games in AFH in one season.
- 2 home conference losses in 2018
- 1 home conference loss in 2005, 2006, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024 (Ʃ9 seasons)
- 0 home conference losses in 2004, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2022 (Ʃ11 seasons)
KU STREAKS POISED TO BE BROKEN
• 21 straight seasons under Bill Self with at least a 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament
1 seed - 11 times*
2 seed - 3 times
3 seed - 3 times
4 seed - 4 times
Current 2025 projections have KU as a 6 seed.
*I count 2020 despite COVID-19 because KU was #1 in the country and NO ONE with any understanding of college hoops that year would argue KU would have been anything but a 1 seed if that tournament had been held.
• KU's Senior Game winning streak from Spring 1984 through last AY -- 41 wins in a row in the last home game of the season, starting with the very first season under Larry Brown (1983-84) and continuing to this season.
For me personally I have always considered the Senior Game streak a most important streak. It really is unheard of in college hoops, and you just don't want to have your seniors lose the last KU game they ever play in AFH.
• 21 straight seasons under Bill Self with at least 23 games won.
With just 2 games to go in regular season and a possible 10 in postseason if KU would be fortunate enough to get to the title games in both tournaments, this streak has a chance to continue. If KU had won today, I would have liked the odds the Jayhawks would win at least 23 games for AY2024-25. After today I'm still a believer in the possibility, but I don't like the odds. What's that line from The Hunger Games? "May the odds be ever in your favor" - riiiiiiiight...

This team is an utter disgrace to everyone that put on the Kansas Uniform. They are not good, and the coaches have been crap also. There needs to be a change.
