From Shay Wildeboor's report on yesterday's media session...

Self: "(Tiller) has not been cleared. He's having tests done coming up here pretty soon, but he has not been cleared, and hopefully, he will be, so we can get him out there and see where he is. But at this point, we're being very precautious.”

Back in November Self said this about Tiller...

"We are excited about Bryson. We feel like he's a top 10 player in this class that hasn't had a chance to play the last six months with an ankle injury. His upside is undeniable, and he's been well-trained. Bryson provides a versatility for us that he can play some five, but he can also play the four, very similar to the way KJ (Adams) has in his KU career.

"This was another good get for us, KT (Kurtis Townsend) was the point man on Bryson and has been recruiting him going back to Bryson's sophomore year."

=========

Shakeel Moore has been out of action on the court since KU lost at BYU. He played 15 minutes against the Cougars and scored six points, but he has been out of action (foot) since that time.

Self was asked about the availability of Moore moving forward...

“Yes, at some point, but I'm not sure about Saturday. It’s a situation where he'll just go as tolerated and deal with it when the season is over, in whatever way he needs to deal with it. But even he'd be the first to tell you "I'd like to go" if tolerated. But he says it's just been a situation where it's just been too painful for him to be able to be out there and play with remotely a free mind."

“And the medical staff has confirmed all that, so it's unfortunate and sad for him and sad for us, but he's going to be dealing with this the rest of the season."

I really hope Tiller is ready to go next year. This injury dragging on like this is concerning.

And of course it would be nice to have Shak available for March.

KU bloody bad injury juju again.

Self also talked about Saturday's opponent Texas Tech (in short, they are GOOD) and that these last 3 games against Tech, at Houston and finishing with the Senior game in AFH against AZ are the toughest part of KU's conference schedule.
