STARTERS (as of 2025-01-05)
Red are the new guys for AY2024-25
G Dajuan Harris Jr 6-1
G Zeke Mayo 6-4
G Shakeel Moore 6-1
F KJ Adams Jr 6-7
C Hunter Dickinson 7-2

BENCH
C Flory Bidunga 6-9
G Rylan Griffen 6-6
G David Coit 5-8
G/F AJ Storr 6-7
G Rakease Passmore 6-5 DNP
F Zach Clemence 6-11 DNP

Minutes played looking much as hoped except for AJ Storr. He hasn't figured things out yet. In just over three minutes he two turnovers, a foul and missed the only shot he took. Hope he can get his act together, he was one of the touted transfers that was going to be a difference maker for KU this year.

Moore in the second half, offensively (all 8 points scored in H2) and especially defensively, led the charge out of the gate and KANSAS never looked back. Hit with a Shak Attack and a a healthy dollop of homemade Mayo the Sun Devils wilted.

The team shot 3s poorly except for Zeke Mayo's 5-8.
Everyone else was 2-15.
1-4 each for Harris and Griffen
0-1 DIckinson (I NEVER want to see him shooting 3s!)
0-2 Moore
0-3 Diggy
0-1 Storr

Upon analysis the team actually shot worse in the second half, but the stifling defense drove the victory.

But on the plus side offensively, even though the guys still didn't shoot many free throws, they hit them all - 4-4 H1 and 9-9 H2!

1st HALF
FG% 14-30 46.7%
3PT% 4-12 33.3%
FT% 4-4 100%

2nd HALF
FG% 13-32 40.6%
3PT% 3-11 27.3%
FT% 9-9 100%

GM FG% 27-62 43.5%
3PT% 7-23 30.4%
FT% 13-13 100.0%

Next up: the Jayhawks (11-3, 2-1, W 2) look to skin some
Bearcats (10-4, 0-3, L 3) in Fifth Third Arena (seriously) on the shores of the Ohio River this
Saturday at 1:00PM CT on
ESPN+ (yuck... and this year we don't we don't even get the benefit of the pre- and post-game Jayhawk Game Day Live sessions with Dave Stewart and Jeff Gueldner. I really miss them, especially Jeff tellin' it like it is...)
