I realize that if not for the grace of God I could've been born a moo fan.

Now that certainly puts our team's "issues" in perspective!

PS: This raises a question for past board members. Who was the member who used to have the Grandpa Simpson quote about Misery in his signature line? He was still on the old board, but has he been seen here?

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”

1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.

to be born a misery fan, well let's just say karma is a cruel seductress. You know KU must be struggling to play the moodor card- yikes!

We are down in the dumps, thinking Self is burned out or something worse, the inmates are running the asylum, we have no heart, Frank is devolving, our freshmen aren't playing, etc. etc.

But we're still #6 in the country.

Duke is out of the top 25

Kentucky will be out of the top 25 in the next poll.

In a horribly off year by our standards, we have slipped out of the top 5.

Not bad for most other programs, all but a couple of which would trade places with us this year.

We had 3 home losses in the 87-88 season. KSU OU and Puke. It seemed we were doomed. But we avenged them in the elite 8, FF, and NC games. And just maybe, the desire for vengeance was the fuel for those victories.

So I keep the faith. Then again, I keep waiting for Landon to put up a quadruple double. :silly:

Yea,yea,yea, keepin' the faith

#7 in AP. In a 3 way tie for 3rd place in Big 12 and yet 2 of KU's 3 conf losses are to the team currently in 6th place (ISU) and the team tied for 8th place (OSU). IMHO, unless a lot of things turn totally positive with KU, it will get way worse in a hurry.
