Self needs to bench Hunter and stop trying to force it through him. He isn’t good. To get down by 24 to misery is unacceptable. These last two games are unacceptable. To get within 2 and let a 25% shooter drain one,. Wow these guys shouldn’t come home

Very difficult to watch, but...this team is much closer to #25 or even #35 than #1. The talent level simply isn't what we have been used to(and spoiled by). Good for them for cutting it to 2 after being down by 24(!), but their record is a mirage. Slow and can't shoot. Tough combination to overcome.

I agree totally....this was an embarassment. Creighton is a good team. They will still be playing in March. Fizzou? Gonna guess not. While there was going to be emotion and momentum swings in this game, one team came in looking forward to that, the other like they expected to win just by showing up. I get it. The "rilvary" factor is lost on most players on this roster. But after a loss, one would think trying to impose your will on the next team might be in play. Not today.
I have always enjoyed Fran Fraschilla, and today was no different. He was spot on today on a couple things. First, if this team is going to be successful, the transfers are going to have to step up. Not incuding Dickinson, the transfers were 9-26 and had 9 turnovers. Hideous. Yes, its December. But those 5 players were supposed to give us some better shooting and better leadership. Complete failure so far. Frascilla's most powerful and glaring observation today....."He gets paid too much to miss that shot." Outstanding. If these players want to be paid then they better produce. They aren't. Can the boosters get their money back?
Finally, Dickinson. I'm tired of him. He has to be the softest 7 foot player Bill Self has ever had. Until the kick in the head incident, I wasn't sure the kid had a nastiness bone in his body. I cannot remember someone that tall who refuses to dunk the ball. Again, not sure who is paying him, but they are getting robbed. Bidunga is better and plays with some passion. Dickinson is the epitome of what is wrong with NIL. He's too weak to play in the NBA and is choosing to stay in college just to get paid instead of having to play in Turkey. I'd rather HCBS bench Dickinson and stick with someone who wants to play more than cash a check.
HCBS's record speaks for itself. But his inability to recruit shooting continues to trouble me. We have all heard the preseason pronouncements from him about the next great "assasins". Only to see them turn into the next great brick layer. This group of transfers might turn into exhibit A of the case against Self who could possibly be charged with theft of shooters touch. We again heard about and saw for ourselves what these guys did at their last schools. Studs....across the board. At KU...duds. Yes....every opponet has their "Farokmanesh game" against KU, but you literally got an entire starting 5 who were "the" guy on their respective teams and they get pantsed by Fizzou.
Especially after this week, I am not confidant about their Big 12 season. Unless and until this team decides to pool their collective talent to run lesser teams out of the gym, there could be 6-7 more of these losses. The talent level on this team is exceptional. The heart and pride for the name on the front of the jersey is lacking in the starters to exclude K.J. and Dajuan. It just doesn't appear they care. Sad way for 2 warriors, Adams and Harris, to end their KU careers.

Respectfully, I heartily disagree with your comment that the talent level on this team is exceptional. Where? Who? You seem to agree that Hunter, despite all his double doubles, doesn't qualify, and he allegedly is our All-American. Love KJ and Juan, but they both have limited games...so who? Self said, again, that the team looked slow in the first half. Well, duh, they've been slow in virtually every game so far. This team doesn't have the athletes, the transfers, or the shooters to do much in March. Hope I'm wrong, but unless Storr and/or Griffen become world beaters, this season might not be any better than last.
