I am beginning to believe a little, despite the head coach. We have a pretty good starting 5 with adequate backup. We do not start a true center but so far it has not hurt us as much as I expected. Nadira Eltayeb, a 6'4" Center who sat out last year with an achilles injury requiring surgery is getting back and playing valuable defensive minutes but she is not as much of an offensive threat. We have a number of players injured right now so hard to say how the season will work out. Nichols is a dog, or is it dawg. Her finish against Auburn was spectacular. Mayberry getting back from whatever was ailing her helps and the two Spaniards on the team are beginning to play well. The team, being 80% new is still trying to figure out how to work together. My guess is that we are a middle of the pack Big 12 team but I hope I am underestimating the team.
