Until recently I never recalled an example where the big name "star" on a team (KU or otherwise) wasn't loved by their fans. I think that streak has stopped...admittedly I have a small sample size not living in KU country, but it seems that Hunter Dickinson has not engendered that love from the KU fans. I spend time on the college basketball Reddit sub and when fans of other teams bash HD, most KU fans either stay silent or pile on.
I've not been a fan (previous posts have demonstrated that clearly) but that does seem odd

Yes. Hunter Haters abound. I think that is sad.

He's an odd player for sure. When he first came to KS I remember after a game he said something "this is what we do at KS" like he'd been here for three to four years. While it was kind of cool, I also thought it was odd. On top of that, I don't mind players that talk a little trash but he's a bit over the top to me. He antagonizes crowds and other players in a way that I don't personally like. I'm more of a "play the game" and let that prove your value rather than taunting the crowd or other players and yelling things at them. So personally I just think he says to much junk and people just don't like it. It's like that friend you have that you've known for years who always talks trash and usually gets you into fights. You deal with them because you have known them since kids but you don't actually like it when they do stuff like that...

Anybody think Hunter just might be on the autism spectrum?

It'll feel better when it stops hurting
At my age , it seems like over half of the folks that I meet under 30 are on that spectrum
