Is ESPN+ streaming possible on a TV without Disney?

Mongo just pawn in game of life.
So basically I haven't watched any NCAA bball since 2021, due to the time commitment of raising my young son, and also cut the cord and went to streaming TV only during that time period. I thought this year that I'd have time to watch KU bball again. We have a Disney+ subscription, but we can't add ESPN+ without adding Hulu, which we will not pay for. Plus, Disney does not seem to have a simple add to your subscription as they want us to sign up for a new bundle of Disney, ESPN, and Hulu, which would give us Disney+ twice. Not to mention that my wife spent several hours on the phone with PayPal and Disney the last time we tried to alter our subscription.
So I just signed up for ESPN+ on my phone, as I had that some years ago, but when I try to login to EPSN+ on the computer it asks "who is your TV provider?" and when saying either Frontier (my ISP) tells me that ESPN+ is unavailable in my area. "None" does not seem to be an option.
So it appears that I can only stream the games on my phone and unfortunately my TVs are too old to allow me to project a phone screen onto the TV. So apparently I will not be watching KU games again this year.
Unless some astute reader here can save me. Thanks

That really stinks. I am not very knowledgeable about the different packages for service. My guess is if the game is on ESPN or ESPN2 they will ask for a provider. If the game is on ESPN+ only they will not ask for a provider.

I signed up for ESPN+ years ago and don't have either Disney or Hulu (I use YouTube TV which is pretty good for sports fans, way more sports channels than my Spectrum cable had and costs half as much). Disney has been pushing the Disney/Hulu/ESPN+ triple combo for quite a while. I was thinking if you had two then the third was almost free...
That said, I point ESPN to Youtube TV whenever it asks and other than technical glitches once in a while it works fine.
