I have been searching ESPN+ for the Hawktalk pre and post game show but can't find it. Has it moved somewhere else?
Thanks

Just remembered it wasn't called Hawktalk it was called Jayhawk Gameday Live. It was a 30 minute pregame and a 60 minute post-game tv show and was on ESPN+ for me. Have not been able to find anything about it this season. Hoping they bring it back in the future.

Hawktalk is the weekly coaches show originating from Johnny's Tavern, and I'm expecting those to continue.

Yes, the pre-game and post-game shows were called Jayhawk Gameday Live, and I have searched in vain for information about their status. The football shows originated from the north stands when at home, and from Allen FIeld House when on the road, if I remember correctly. The basketball shows originated from Allen Field House. Until recently, both have been under construction, so my speculation was that they would return after the construction had finished in Allen Field House, which was supposed to be the case by Late Night. Alas, they have not returned. Now I'm wondering if it was a cost-saving measure, given the uncertainty of the cost of the House settlement, plus the cost of rebuilding Memorial Stadium. But it's all speculation. Why KU Athletics hasn't come out with a definitive statement about the situation is puzzling.

This is from KU Athletics - The Jayhawk Game Day on ESPN+ will not be continuing. We stopped it in both football and men’s basketball. It was a financial decision that the small audience did not make up for the cost of producing it.

Small audience? Seriously?

I believe the pre- and post-game shows are still happening on radio (though it's the radio crew, not Dave Stewart). We might try to "Listen Live" to the KLWN audio stream. Those used to be unavailable to Internet listeners, but I could swear that I was able to listen to a recent post-game show. Give it a try.

KLWN works, I use WHB AM 810, they broadcast pre and post segment's. Admittedly I drop after HCBS locker room interview w/ Gurley.

Asteroid, I also question the “small audience” reply, but here is the same answer from another source. …… Unfortunately, KU made the decision to discontinue that show. It was a big expense to produce and apparently, the juice wasn’t worth the squeeze on viewership vs cost. We’ve tried to add more on-camera interviews on social media (pre and post) to make up for it. Thanks for your interest and I sure hope all is well with you!
