The UNC game on Friday actually represents
two historic opportunities for our Kansas Jayhawks Men's Basketball program.
1. Bill Self can tie PHOG ALLEN with his 590th win as the head coach at KU.
2. Kansas can take the lead in the program series history with UNC for the first time in 67 years of competition.
Since first losing to UNC in Kansas City in the 1957 NCAA Tournament triple overtime title game, KU has never had the lead in the head-to-head competition.
The series is currently tied 6-6 after KU won the 2022 NCAA NC game against the tarred ones.
