The origin post is still a work-in-progress, but it does now contain the complete regular season schedule information and the results of the four games played to date.
I still need to research the Big XII and NCAA info for inclusion.
Starting this season I do not plan on doing the pregame posts in this thread unless there is a particular game coming up that merits writing about.
Of course, if enough of you actually read and enjoyed those lunatic writings in the past I could be persuaded to at least reconsider.
As has already been noted in other threads on the RCB, ESPN and KU are no longer producing "Jayhawk Game Day Live" pre & post game programs on ESPN+. Apparently it was strictly an economic decision. I know I already miss Dave Stewart and particularly Jeff Gueldner's commentary and analysis.
But KUAthletics.com still has all the pre & post game info that I would link to available for your perusal. In fact in my opinion they have stepped up their game in providing and maintaining that and other info that may be to interest to you.
For those who preferred to listen to the radio broadcast while watching the tube, it seems that the leanplayer - like JHGDL - is also gone.
BUT it has been replaced by The Varsity Network, which hopefully will provide a comparable (hopefully better) experience, to include syncing the radio broadcasts to the TV stream, as the leanplayer did.
That's all for tonight.
Here's to another great season of KU Men's Basketball!

The first loss of the season in the first true road game of the season is an embarrassing 76-63 loss to Creighton,
Our guys were outplayed in every facet of the game. Never once led.
Best stretch was the 9-0 run to start H2 that got KU to within 1.
All downhill from there.
Next up - mOO at the Hellmouth at noon CT on ESPN2
Hope these Jayhawks show up on Saturday.
Tonight was very disappointing.

Updated for the second loss, and to note that the season opener hosting WVU finally has a time and channel -- and the channel is ESPN+.
This is a recent decision.
WVU is 6-2m including wins over Gonzaga, Arizona and Georgetown.
KU hosting NC State and Brown, the next two games before the Big 12 season opener for both KU and WVU, are both showing on ESPN..
Go figure.

Origin post updated for the W over NC State.
A solid game at home after the two debacles on the road.
Mayo came to play.
Hunter was his usual self against a smaller opponent and a team that didn't double team him.

A very strong game at home.
Mayo came to play again.
Hunter got his double double, but was most impressive in his outlet passing after gathering a defensive rebound.
