People have been quite critical (not here) of our FB team performance this year, BUT, WHAT IF, for a season KU BB could not practice in AFH but at the local HS, and had to play their home games in KC at two separate locations. Do you think our BB team would also struggle winning games we normally win? It might also affect our away games. Although disappointed with the FB team, I hope everyone realizes how disruptive the FB stadium, weight and meeting rooms, and practice field accessibility and schedules has all been for both the coaches and the players. I'm at peace with the FB team.

I would argue that "the Booth" does not offer the same home field advantage that "The Phog" does

I agree USAF on the relative home field advantage but I was more intent on the disruption to their schedule, home and away. Look at how close we were to winning some of those games.

I have been thinking about the disruption of not having an on campus home field. And this year UNLV and Illinois were good teams.
I realize expectations were unrealistic, but it seems that after about 58 minutes the other team has learned from the play calling tendencies and match ups right about the time the Hawks go into deer in the headlights mode.

This team is not making plays at the end of games. Weather it is a fumble late in the game or not catching an interception that would seal it. I think the team is close to winning. The lack of proper routine may be the difference. We will see how things go from here but I think the program is moving in the right direction even if the record this year doesn't reflect it.

Hawks have been their own worst enemy in every game this season w/ all sorts of unforced errors or uneven play. Sometimes a step back is a step forward.
