Washington State transfer Joseph Yesufu has committed to West Virginia, his agent Daniel Poneman told ESPN. Played just 6 games last season before going down with a hip injury. Reunites with Darian DeVries, who coached Yesufu for two years at Drake. Averaged 12.8 PPG in 2020-21.
We all remember Joe Yesufu, who transferred to KU after a banner NCAA Tournament experience with Drake in 2021. He had an unremarkable 2 seasons for KU (AY2021-22, AY2022-23) before transferring to Washington State for AY2023-24.
After last year's medical redshirt, this will be the 5th and final year of competition for one of the few remaining DIV 1 COVID-19 players. (This is the last season for the majority of COVID-19 "6 to play 5" eligible players in college hoops. The only COVID-19 players that will be around for AY2025-26 will be those who took a redshirt at one point in their college careers).

Don't know.
Joe apparently has no eligibility issues - at least none that I saw mentioned.
So if he has an agent it must be an NCAA certified agent, making it much ado about nothing these days.
