To clear up the timeline here’s what
@flugempire has had to say. #kubball #RockChalk #kufball

He believes is that B1G will go southeast to FSU and Miami. And the SEC will expand their “bandwidth” by adding UNC, Virginia, and Clemson. With the 4th team being Kansas as of right now but heavily emphasized it is not guaranteed nor imminent and all of the schools mentioned wouldn’t move for another 2-3 years. And he mentioned this possibility for these reasons he mentioned.

1) Sankey believes basketball will grow and explode

2) the SEC would need to expand their “bandwidth” by entering “virgin” country by adding schools who are in states not in the B1G or SEC

3) Kansas would not need a traveling partner because KU/MU rivalry and old friends such as OU and Texas. Arkansas is also close.

4) There are SEC schools who supposedly advocated for Kansas

5) Kansas is a AAU school and the flagship school in the state

Hope this clears up what everyone is talking about but again this is speculation based on his sources. Nothing guaranteed, nothing imminent, educated speculation.

This is an interesting YouTube video on this subject by a West Virginia fan. His channel is called Couz's Corner.

Yep, that's the "short version" podcast I referred to in Morning Report 2024-05-10.

Never hurts to get emphasis on good stuff!

Thanks, boulderhawk!
