Not for the NCAA Tournament (yet?), but perhaps for the NIT Post-season tournament?
I missed this when it first was published two weeks ago.
If someone has already posted... well, here's a repeat, and sorry I missed yours.
Big 12 to Participate in Inaugural College Basketball Crown Postseason Tournament
More and more people are realizing that Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark (and, to be fair, others, too) is right that Men's College Basketball is going to bloom in the next few years as an even bigger money maker for the conferences and schools (as opposed to the NCAA getting it's fingers in another, or bigger and growing, pie).
This seems to be a step toward the conferences breaking the national championship tournament away from the NCAA -- rather like it was in the early days when most people considered the original NIT to be the better title to hold than the NCAA Tournament title.
