I can only hope that they fix things, but I'm afraid that they won't be able to. NIL and easy transfers have made things pretty crappy.
I don't understand why the courts ruled the way they did initially. If you sign an agreement that says in exchange for playing basketball and giving up NIL rights to use your likeness, you get a free education and the ability to play on TV at the highest amateur level, you have a choice of agreeing to that or not. If you don't like the deal, don't sign it and go to the G league.
But I digress. What we have now is lousy.
