Am I off base in thinking that? As always, I would enjoy another person's RCBer's take.
Generally all fair thoughts and assessments by HCBS within the article...but something didn't feel right when he said, "I think for the last month, I've been thinking about next season, to be honest." Even if he felt that way, feels like a dig at the current group of players."I think for the last month, I've been thinking about next season, to be honest," said Self, whose team lost four of five games entering the tournament and again was without star Kevin McCullar Jr. "Not in the moments during the game, but obviously, we played -- we had eight guys on scholarship, and we play -- I mean, that were healthy there late. Injuries are part of the game. That's not an excuse.

I was in the middle of typing my post when USAF Jayhawk posted about the same topic.
HawkE, feel free to consolidate the two posts if you'd like.

I do not have a problem with it. If anyone might it would be the players but if they are honest with themselves they should be able to understand where he was coming from. They were not competitive with the top teams most days.

I think any coach who ISN'T looking ahead at how he can fill the holes he didn't expect to have is not a coach I want at KU
