ESPN Sportscenter intro at 11:45 PM CT 2024-02-03:
"...plus all four blue bloods tested in Top 10 matchups on a packed day of college hoops.
That's now!
This is Sportscenter!"
-- Michael Eaves

Did I miss the official proclamation that settled it, there are only 4?
KU (W)
UK (L)
UNC (W)
Duke (L)

I'm fine with it, but ...

Yeah I think you still have to list UCLA and Indiana.

And I agree with you replay. I just found the ESPN talking head's pronouncement rather salient given our past discussions on this topic.

UCLA with 11 titles and #5 in the Top 5 All TIme Winningest Programs has to be a blue blood, even if they haven't won an NC lately.

As for IU -- history, Top 10 ATWP and 5 NCAA titles still carries a lot of weight in my book, even if they haven't made a lot of noise since 1987.

I think we need to kick this up to congress to settle. Draft a bill that establishes certain teams blue bloods in perpetuity, and be done with it. I'm sure the could figure it out and come to an agreement. :D

Good lord, you think the NCAA is slow and then screws up, and then you suggest bringing Congress into this critical discussion?

My God, man, have you lost your mind?!?

Patient confidentiality laws give me the option of not answering. Mrs. NotO certainly has a strong opinion on this matter.

Maybe this isn't such a good idea. Although it would be fun to see the reps from California and Indiana make their cases.

Rock Chalk mis amigos.
