BIG 12 STANDINGS thru 2024-02-02
6-2 HOU
5-2 ISU, TT
5-3 KU, TCU
4-3 BU
4-4 KSU, OU
3-4 BYU
3-5 CIN, UCF, WVU, tu
1-7 OKS
GAMES SATURDAY 2024-02-03
ALL TIMES LISTED ARE CENTRAL
1:00 PM tu @#25 TCU ESPN2
1:00 PM KSU @OKS ESPN+
3:00 PM #4 HOU @#8 KU ESPN
3:00 PM #23 OU @UCF ESPN+
5:00 PM CIN @#15 TT ESPN+
5:00 PM #22 BYU @WVU ESPN+
7:00 PM #12 ISU @#18 BU ESPN2
IF HOU wins Saturday they are all alone at 7-2... but that's not going to happen in AFH. So...
KU could conceivably go to bed on Saturday tied for first in the Big 12.
1:00 tu wins at TCU
3:00 KU beats HOU in AFH
5:00 CIN beats TT in Lubbock (unlikely IMO, but it could happen)
7:00 BU beats ISU in Waco
Standings would reflect
6-3 KU, HOU
5-3 ISU, TT
5-4 TCU
Change TCU to a home W and it's a three way tie for first
6-3 KU, HOU, TCU
5-3 ISU, TT
But if you also change ISU and TT to wins it looks like this at the top
6-2 ISU, TT
6-3 KU, HOU, TCU
There are a few more permutations, but our bottom line, Jayhawks fans, is that this Saturday we're pulling for
KU
BU and
Cincinnati to win.

KENPOM's #1 defense in Division 1 is looking to rough up our C&B fellas.
Here's hoping they are up to the challenge and uphold the tradition of beating the higher ranked opponent in AFH.
Bill Self's teams are historically 18-1 in such cases, including 15 straight victories.
Never break the chain, JAYHAWKS!

“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
If I were a betting man (which I'm not), I'd go with all of the home teams in the major games today: KU, Baylor, TT, and TCU.
Will be interesting.

Agree — but I’m so pulling for the *only* road win to be in Lubbock today!
