Embiid evokes memories of Chamberlain

On another topic, I've been on this board in one form or another for decades and it seems every season about this time the sky starts falling. "Fools gold three pointers," various players not playing to expectation, and so on. At the very same time various esteemed members of this board post phenomenal statistics about how good this team has been over scores of years -- both coaches and players.

Chin up RCZ patriots, we have the best coach, great players, and a l o n g way to go before selection Sunday. "In HCBS I trust."

agree bay, funny to read the posts given the many many times we have recovered and out-performed the then expectation. re the three point phenomenon we seem to experience on occasion. its really just a function of the SUCCESS of our scouting, our coaches and our players to teach and then absorb the scouting report. most players/teams dont. of course we dont register the 90% of the time when the scouting report plays out when we leave the bad shooters alone to cover the paint or the better shooters or whomever. its only in the black swan games when those guys go off. and we then ask how did we let that happen? the answer of course is that was the plan and it works 90% of the time under bill.
