KU is struggling to find that fifth, sixth, and seventh player. Yet we keep winning.
SLow starts in general have hampered KU. If they could get rid of those, like they did today, then life is easier as our first four are pretty darn good.
Hunter is a strange case. Double doubles all the time, but he plays soft, seems slow, and sets more moving screens than anyone I have seen in a very long time.
Kevin is a level above where he was last year and that was pretty high. Amazing play on both ends of the court.
If KJ had just a bit more touch on his shot he would be amazing and he is already pretty darn special.
Harris. Has me scratching my head a bit this year. Still a fantastic player but seems to be making mistakes he normally doesn’t. Really the only thing missing from his game is being able to finish at the rim with contact.
The Big 12 isn’t as tough as it has been in the past, but it still has a lot of really good teams that KU will have to navigate. With a thin bench, we cannot afford any injuries and will have to stay out of foul trouble.
Here’s to a good conference season
