Roy retired after AY2020-2021 with Kansas having gone from 7 wins behind the tarred ones to 29 wins ahead of them.
IOW Self's Kansas teams won 36 more times than the tarred ones in the 18 years Roy coached there.
After the IRP decision, that 29 win lead after 2021 was effectively cut to 14 wins at the time Roy retired.
(Instead of 36, KU only won 21 more times than UNC after the "vacation"
)
As of the start of the AY2023-24 season,
27 Wins was the KU margin.
13 more KU wins than tarred one wins in just two seasons (and an NC at their cost to boot!
)
As of Christmas Day 2023-012-25, that lead has grown from 27 to
30.
If history since Roy left holds, KANSAS should finish this season ~33 wins ahead of the tarred ones.
Keep it going, Jayhawks!
