Hunter Dickinson suspension fake news

Yesterday I saw a post from WIBW that was titled "Hunter Dickinson 3 game suspension" that led to a dead page. I eventually found this explanation (
www.sportskeeda.com/college-basketball/w...recent-flagrant-foul ) which said he was suspended for the flagrant foul vs. UMKC.

Digging deeper, the whole story stemmed from a Jon Rothstein college hoops analyst's twitter/X account.

KU Athletics has made no mention of this, and no other reliable sources are reporting it, so I'm confident that it's BS.

Then to stir the pot further, a friend texted me shocked that the same twitter/x source was reporting that MSU had fired Tom Izzo.

Anyone else seeing this stuff or have any info? It seems that other media sources are biting on fake tweets which would explain why WIBW reported the story and then apparently took it down.

According to what I’m reading on JayhawkSlant, the “Rothstein” account and the text was fake.

Notable support that it’s fake — it’s not been mentioned by Self. He’d have mentioned it.

Agreed. Fake, but it still took me a couple hours cruising slow airplane wifi to confirm it. Of course, I also checked here since little news passes by here unmentioned. Part of the reason I posted it was in case anyone else was tripped up and saw the same bogus link. Save them some time and worry.
