A poll while we wait.

A note, friend Bay… Your title suggests your poll should be Hanni focused, but your poll questions are uncharacteristically unfocused, addressing KU lean player in general.

To cover the bases, I do not listen to Hanni — or anyone else — doing game coverage, any game, not just hoops.

I voted Other because I do listen to HawkTalk on kuleanplayer, but not games unless it’s all I have available. That’s any KU sporting event of interest to me. I have made the occasional exception when I simply cannot stand the tv crew, but more often than not I’ll just mute the game instead of trying to sync kuleanplayer with the tv feed.

In addition to KU athletics events (not all of them, sadly), they also do the HawkTalk coaches shows (e.g., Self, Leipold, baseball coach Dan Fitzgerald). That’s usually when I listen in.

I listened to the PR games, and had no idea who the announcer was. I didn’t care for him, then found out it was Hanni. I just found him annoyingly over hyped and “enthused”. It didn’t match the tenor of the game at all, and I just muted it and watched in silence.

On a somewhat related note - where will Bill Walton end up now that his conference of champions is kaput??
