Today, in the court case concerning #kubball player Arterio Morris in Texas, a continuance was added to the case file.

This comes after Monday, when an Affidavit of Non-Prosecution was entered.

More:

Per court records, a complaining witness in the case said in court filing Monday "I do not wish to pursue charges against Arterio Morris." And recanted any statements made to Frisco police and any law enforcement reflected in a "Complaint and Information" filing.

More:

More, from that court filing from complaining witness: "I want the prosecution of this cause to be withdrawn, dismissed and terminated, and it is my desire that the Prosecuting Attorney dismiss all such charges against Arterio Morris."

More:

The complaining witness understands the charges may not be dismissed as a result of this affidavit, and that the individual may still be compelled to testify.

So the state can still continue with the case against Morris if it so desires, but that seems much less likely now. The granted continuance is probably to clean things up and close the book on the case without having a trial.

HCBS also stated in a recent interview that Arterio would be with the team in Puerto Rico next month.

All looking good for the young man and for KU.
