Starting with the 2008 Final Four drubbing, KANSAS has gone 4-0 v UNC to tie the historical series 6-6.
In that same period (starting 2008), UNC is 5-7 against UK, and UNC actually leads the series 22-17 starting with the 1949-50 season.
So I can totally understand their preference.
Saying the Lexington program is higher on the blue blood list is ill informed and frankly WRONG, but I understand their preference.
