Word is that he had been struggling. Reclassified, probably a mistake (17 years old, too soon in his case?).

From knowledgeable JayhawkSlant poster —

1. he wasn’t as good as the staff had hoped. Opens up some money for a wing that may be from Australia.

2. Showed up out of shape and not the best attitude to learn. Didn’t respond well to being seriously coached for the first time.

A friend of mine who lives in Vancouver follows Gonzaga. He mentioned that Marcus Adams recently signed with them and that he came from KU. I hadn't heard that he signed with them so did a quick Google search about.

These two articles came up that state that he's going to Gonzaga, but they also explain...through his quotes, why he's leaving.

I mean nothing he said is that bad, but it's the "sourest" tone from athlete on why they're leaning...at least that I can remember. Curious if anyone feels the same way or thinks I'm being to harsh on the young man?
