ESPN: Ex-North Carolina signee Simeon Wilcher commits to St. John's
With 12 new faces this summer, Rick Pitino has almost completely made over the St. John's roster since leaving Iona in New Rochelle to move 19 miles south to the Johnnies' campus in Queens.

According to ESPN, in addition to adding Wilcher - the ESPN #28 player in the 2023 recruiting class -- and ESPN #89 SF Brady Dunlap, he has also added 10 portal transfers.

(All transfer portal rankings are from 247Sports.com)
G Jordan Dingle, 247Sports #14 transfer portal player and Ivy League POY from Penn
G RJ Luis, #53 UMass
G Daniss Jenkins, #66 Iona
F Glenn Taylor Jr., #96 Oregon State
F Zuby Ejiofor, #105 Kansas
G Cruz Davis Iona, NR Iona
G Nahiem Alleyne, NR UConn
F Quinn Slazinski, NR Iona
F Sadiku Ayo, NR Iona
G Sean Conway, NR VMI

And returning All-Big East double-double big man Joel Soriano (15.2 PPG, 11.9 RPG) will anchor Pitino's lineup next season.

Look out, Big East, St. John's is back!

Meanwhile, 88 miles west of Hoops Heaven, in the land of rolling hills and silly named arenas, Jerome Tang is trying to replace Keyontae Johnson and Markquis Nowell to continue to build on last year's success. He has ESPN's #22 recruiting class with two ESPN Top 100 recruits in #54 PG Dai Dai Ames and #64 G RJ Jones. But his biggest "get" may be landing #13 ESPN Transfer Portal player Arthur Kaluma.

All I can say is "Bring 'em on!"
