I know, sasnak. I believe we all had high hopes for him. I know I did. You have to believe he made his decision after talking with Self and learning that barring a significant improvement in his game ā one that Self did not see on the horizon ā he would not be seeing much playing time in the future. Iām sure Self told him his scholly was good if he wanted to stay, but his PT prospects were bleak, and if he wanted the chance to get significant PT he would have to move.
Given the transfer rule changes, it really is a win-win for both player and program. I really hope that given the chance he blossoms into a star in a different conference.
