“With kindest regards to Dr. Forrest C. Allen, the father of basketball coaching, from the father of the game.”
1936 inscription on the portrait of Dr. Naismith, displayed above Phog Allen's office desk at KU.
Verrrry interesting.

That is very interesting. I do feel this team has played a ton of tough games and will be well prepared for the tourney. I am just worried that they will come up against a TX or TENN or someone like them, which Arkansas beat Tenn so that could be bad. We will just see what they do. Rock Chalk!!!

Along with talent and coaching, comes luck or bad luck (usually in the form of injuries) in the tournament. You look back at some of the bad luck we had that I think contributed to some of our losses in previous tournaments, Archie Marshall, Kirk Hinrich, Joel Imbied) In the B12 Championship game, we were without McCullar (sp) and Grady was not at peak form due to an injury early in the game.
I remember there have also been teams in the tournament that have had issue with flu outbreaks. Not to be a downer but wishing for a healthy team to be able to perform at peak performance. The only loss we should ever have should be to a better team whomever it may be.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
This is an interesting stat but a little misleading. Pretty much by definition, the National champion will get 5 quad 1 wins in the NCAA tourney. So it is very likely that will catapult them into the lead.
