Congratulations to our Jayhawks on winning a piece of the B12 Conf Reg Title. Tonight was another barnburner, TTU is 5-12 in conference yet lost both games against the top team by a total of 7pts…what a Conf. I am greedy, let’s win in Austin.

I’m not greedy, I just want a 17 game winning streak to finish the season.:woohoo:

40 straight Senior Game wins!
17th Big 12 title in 20 years under Bill Self!

Holy frijoles, we are SPOILED!
And loving it!

Congratulations, JAYHAWKS!

Now go win in Austin, then add 3 more and then 6 more after that!

ROCK CHALK! JAYHAWK! KU!

I am happy the Hawks have clinched a league championship but I sure hope they can get their shooting touch back. 20% from 3 is not going to cut it in post season.

What a year. The midseason losing streak really had me down, but they keep finding ways to win.

Horrible shooting tonight, but that can be fixed. Interested to see what comes of TCU/Texas, but in any case, it would be nice to get a 14th win on Saturday.

Earlier in, I thought a 3-way tie for 1st was almost certainly a possibility. The fact that we now have a 50/50 chance of 14 wins AND an outright title is well beyond my expectations.

I've always bought into the "win half your road games and all your home games" path to the Big 12 championship. I'd revise that slightly to "sweep at least 4 teams and don't get swept" as a more accurate strategy.

Bill wins his 17th championship vs. 17 home losses. Glad that trend is continuing (really THE most amazing stat IMHO about Self and AFH).

No team went undefeated at home this year, and Texas and KSU each only have 1 home loss (hoping to give Texas a 2nd one). Baylor and KU are the only teams with 5 road wins, Texas has 4.

Rest up guys. Let's ruin Senior Day at Texas.

Shooting is very much a mental exercise (like a field goal kicker, we saw what Butker went through after his injury). I was attentively watching Gradey as hit missed shot after shot and didn't spot any form issues. His elbow was down, he wasn't drifting to the side, his follow-through was normal...he just wasn't connecting. Same with JWill, but his 3pt shot has been off for several games.

Let's hope they get their shot back...like someone else said, we're gonna have to do better to get through either tourney.

Somebody posted elsewhere that Grady might not have been feeling well, which would be a solid explanation for what was up. Then again, it might have just been an "off" night. It happens.

Nevertheless, I believe in the law of averages. Grady is shooting 40% on the season, and based on the sample size that the data is based on, I think Tuesday's game was an anomaly and that he'll likely shoot better most other nights. One game isn't a trend.

I noticed that, too, NotO. After we lost to TCU, we needed to win the conference this year to keep up that pace/stat (which was far from a sure thing at that point).

I decided to compile the list of teams to see who the "outliers" :) are. Below is a list of the 17 losses that KU has had in Allen Fieldhouse under HCBS. (Bold denotes a conference game)

KU home losses during Bill Self era
1. Richmond ('03-'04)
2. ISU ('04-05)
3. Nevada ('05-'06)
4. KSU ('05-'06)
5. Oral Roberts ('06-'07)
6. Texas A&M ('06-'07)
7. Texas ('10-'11)
8. Oklahoma St ('12-'13)
9. San Diego St. ('13-'14)
10. Iowa St (’16-’17)
11. Arizona St. (’17-’18)
12. Texas Tech (’17-’18)
13. Oklahoma St. (’17-’18)
14. Baylor (’19-’20)
15. Texas (’20-’21) (by 25 points ☹)
16. Kentucky (’21-’22)
17. TCU (’22-’23) (by 23 points ☹)
