Seems that the scheduling gods have arragned that the big games this week are all clumped together. Last night was KU (#1) vs. TCU (#6).
Today features the 4 teams between KU and TCU duking it out with Texas hosting ISU and the Kitties hosting Scot Drew's combover.
Best case scenario:
Texas falls to ISU at home and KSU beats Baylor. In that case, KU is left alone in 1st place with Texas one game back. Baylor falls into a 3 way tie for 3rd, 2 games back.
Worst case scenario:
Texas and Baylor win. In that case, the top 3 remain unchanged with Texas tied for first and Baylor still a game back. The only upside here is that KSU and ISU would each have 7 losses which would put them "on the bubble" of mathematical elimination.
Looking to the weekend, and the big game seems to be Baylor hosting Texas. Somebody has to lose that one and it could put a nail in somebody's coffin.
With only 3 games left after this round, the scenarios are getting easier to sort out.
