As to it being on ESPN+ -

I will note that Big 12 Now Network TTBOMK is only shown on ESPN+.

I also note that preseason no one was predicting KSt would be this good.
I also note that KSt @KU is historically bad for KSt: 52-18 all time and 18-1 in the Bill Self era.
Finally I note that because of the additional involvement of Big 12 Now, ESPN is not as free to move things around as it would be if it were on say ESPNU or ESPN2 instead of ESPN+.

I would not be surprised to see a repeat for this next year when KU wins tomorrow to make it 19-1 in the Bill Self era.

Not ideal, but $10 to see KU beat the kitties in the Phog would be worth it for me.

FWIW, historically the KU MBB games on ESPN+ total about 8 and occur between November and January. This season 4 games were on ESPN+ in November, 1 was in December and 3 were in January. One possible future plan would be to get ESPN+ for those three months and then cancel your subscription. Plus tax a bit over $30 for 8 games, plus the Jayhawk GameDay Live pre- and post-game programs for every ESPN/ABC related game.

(And no, I don't get anything for promoting ESPN+, it's just that it really is the only option in these cases.)
