The short answer is yes. When you normalize for minutes played, Dajuan ranks quite well in assists per 40 minutes. Of course Aaron Miles is the gold standard with Jacque Vaughn just behind. Those guys were otherworldly. Here are a few guys who Dajuan is ranked ahead of in assists per 40 min. Tyshawn Taylor, Deovnte Graham, Sherron Collins, Mario Chalmers, Frank Mason, Elijah Johnson, Kevin Pritchard, Jerod Haase, Remy Martin, Devon Dotson, Jeff Boschee, Steve Woodberry and Brady Morningstar. For his career he has averaged 5.75 assists per 40 min. That puts him 17th at KU going back to 1976. Considering he has played in a completely different type of team than many of these guys, that is even more impressive. His 2 seasons have been on teams that play 4 guards and multiple ball-handlers. Perhaps this needs to be viewed in light of another stat, the Assist to TO ratio. When you limit to players with 1000 or more minutes, Dajuan is 1st at KU since 1984 in highest A/To at 2.78. That is better than luminaries like Ryan Robertson (2.45), Mark Turgeon (2.38), Devonte Graham (2.34), Aaron Miles and Jacque Vaughn at 2.29. This is an incredibly important stat.

Don't worry about the mules, just load the wagon!!
