For those of you who drop ESPN+ after the KU basketball season is over, here’s a reminder that Friday night’s season opening home football game v Tennessee Tech will be on ESPN+ starting at 7PM CDT.
If you already stream Disney+ and Hulu, or you are considering getting them, remember it will be cheaper for you to buy the Disney package that includes those 2 and ESPN+. The cost for the package has not gone up, whereas the cost for getting ESPN+ by itself has. Also remember that your ESPN+ streaming membership includes access to all the ESPN.com website content, including the ESPN Insider stuff that is otherwise behind their paywall. And it’s still month to month, no annual contract involved.
Regarding Friday’s game, FWIW, I’ve seen spreads as high as 28 points for KU for this game. Here’s hoping Lance Leipold has the guys ready and that spread turns out to have been a lowball estimate! Would be great to start the football season with a big win!

BTW, I just checked the official schedule (for the umpteenth time in the last fortnight) and the Saturday September 10 game at WVU will also be on ESPN+, at 5PM CDT.
Game 3 Saturday September 17 at future Big 12 opponent Houston will be on ESPNU at 3PM CDT.
Times and viewing modes for the remaining 9 games are still TBA, but I’d be willing to bet that at least 4 more games will also end up on ESPN+.
(Yes, it’s football related, but I’m posting here to reach the most people.)

So...can I signup for ESPN+ without any other services streaming ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU?

By itself I’m not sure.
I think so with the Disney bundle

Technically you are only paying for ESPN+. If you have a regular TV provider that carries ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU, then you can watch those on the app as well, but you'll have to provide an account with that provider. If you're at home, that clearly doesn't matter because, well, you have TV service. However, if you're on the road this works out well because you can watch all ESPN content.jaythawk1 wrote: So...can I signup for ESPN+ without any other services streaming ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU?

Earlier this year my phone service was added to my kids Verison account...they told me that with that I've got access to the Disney + and what it has to offer...so I'm all set now with ESPN+
BTW...the Jayhawks totally showed up last night against Tennesse Tech! Rock Chalk Jayhawks!
It was a very encouraging performance!
Thanks for your help.

I dropped Spectrum Cable (except for internet) and switched to Youtube TV. Half the price and more sports channels (and all of the Hallmark channels for my Wife). I still pay for ESPN+. I didn't merge because I have no need for Disney+ nor Hulu...
