Calipari is an idiot, lol

The soap opera continues. Seen several stories in the past week where Calipari was interviewed and is begging for UK to build him a new basketball practice facility. UK has other plans for their investments and his current basketball faciltiy is only about 15 years old.

Anyway, Calipari has threatened to "do it himself" by gettting donations from ex UK NBA players. In his interview he came out and insulted UK football and baseball by saying that UK was a basketball school. He went out of his way to call out the football program.

Now the football coach is tweeting and angry.

How classless can a guy get???

Meanwhile in Lawrence, I read this week where Coach Self attended a football practice and had nothing but postiives to say about the players, the program, and where we all hope it's headed.

Contrast in 2 coaches. One, a shady, insincere, self-centered ignoramous. The other a fantastic ambassador for our university.

I think Cal may be getting pissy and thinking about leaving. Create drama over a new arena (this one leaks and we can't play on the court) and snarl at Stoops, then leave because "others" were the problem.

I have a couple UK buddies who are tired of Cal, and frankly tired of the merry go round of one year players who somewhat regularly under perform. They think the NIL and related issues will impact UK recruiting negatively and think UK's program will have to be reorganized - with a new coach.

And the UK football team is decent. They won 10 games last season. And have been to a few Bowls recently, They don't do well against the SEC elites, but who does.
Cal might feel under appreciated. Some NBA team will be glad to give him 20-25 million for a couple early playoff exits over three or four seasons
