The former KANSAS head coach, a member of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame since 2007, is being honored by the National Collegiate Basketball HOF in KCMO this November. He was a member of the 173 member founding class in 2006, but the Hall has made it a point to highlight several of those founding inductees each year as part of its annual induction ceremonies.

He is also being inducted into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame (Mulvane, KS) on October 2.

Glad to see the latter happened after he retired.

Regarding the Kansas Sports HOF...

Joining Williams in the KSHOF Class of 2022 are: Clint Bowyer (championship driver), Emily Bloss Carpenter (women’s basketball), Tara Holloway Churchill (women’s basketball), Elwood “Bingo” DeMoss (Negro League Baseball), Kendall Gammon (football), Bill James (writer, historian), Jesse Nelson (girls high school basketball coach), George Toma (professional groundskeeper) and Gordon Vadakin (bowling coach).. Source: Shay Wildeboor, JayhawkSlant

The only names I recognize in the group are Bill James and George Toma.
